MORRISSEY. When the Smiths disintegrated the world wondered, what will happen? What will the great guitarist and musician Johnny Marr do? What will the great lyricist and singer and frontman Morrissey do? Well, Johnny Marr joined Electronic, then did all sorts of solo crap and finally has joined Modest Mouse about 4 years after they were relevant. Pretty shabby. Morrissey instead went his own way and blew everyone's minds with amazing solo material, which continues to this day. He is a lyrical genius and a fucking amazing vocal arranger. I was fortunate enough to be able to see him rock Houston earlier this year. I love Morrissey. He tells it like it is and he is HILARIOUS.
