ROBERT JOHNSON. It is a very rare thing to have someone be so completely and inarguably crucial to the development of a popular musical form. It is even rare when that someone only has about 40+ minutes of recorded music existing. Having lived a very hard life, Robert Johnson died at age 27, slipping into obscurity and then legend.
