THELONIOUS MONK. There is none greater. Monk is my all-time favorite pianist and musical composer. His music strikes a chord in me, a very weird distorted chord. I can listen to his music endlessly, always finding something new, always seeing a different piece of the genius that created such tunes. Monk would have been 90 years old yesterday.
